Job Description

Robot Programmer:

Creates/writes new CNC Lathe / Milling machine programs / operation sheets based upon Engineering drawings; program computers for multiple operations, production parts, and other components; edit, modify and upgrade existing CNC programs / operation sheets as required. Train production operators, monitor production quality and productivity, and provide feedback to Managers. Develop and implement new methods of programming / manufacturing to improve quality and reduce cost.

Candidates must have prior experience in programming using Unigraphics, and hands on robotic programming, teach mode and off-line, Motorman Robots and Robcad robot programming software. Be familiar with turning processes and milling processes in steel, nickel, titanium, aluminum and magnesium alloys, experience in the manufacture, integration and testing processes of major rotating jet engine hardware, primarily disks, hubs, shafts / spacers and non-rotating components such as structural cases and gear box housings. The ability to multi-task with rapidly changing priorities, knowledge of LEAN and ACE principles and their direct applications to production line improvements and a broad experience of Manufacturing Engineering Principles. Experience working from customer blueprints and specifications to design parts and tooling is required. Proven analytical, interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), organizational, planning, and prioritization along with the ability to set schedules meet deadlines while complying with strict procedural rigor. A self-starter with exceptional quality of work standards, detail oriented and oriented towards customer satisfaction. Candidates must work well in a team setting with the ability to nurture positive relationships with co-workers, employees, key suppliers and customers while working with minimal supervision. Ability to interpret common aerospace terminology and acronyms along with familiarity with standard contract terms and conditions required. A solid working knowledge of basic office software such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Engineering positions require an AS or BS and / or the equivalent manufacturing experience.
