Tampa/Orlando, Florida (Individual can work from Tampa or Orlando office, a hybrid, or a remote schedule anywhere within 2 hours of either of these offices)
Our client is looking for a roadway design practice leader in Florida to serve as the market leader and lead engineer for their Florida roadway design division. This position affords the individual with a once in a lifetime opportunity to lead and grow the roadway division.
In this role, the individual will oversee the growth and operation of the firm’s Florida roadway division, developing and fostering existing relationships and contracts with FDOT and local municipalities, serving as the PM/EOR on projects, and mentoring junior engineers. The leader should have strong relationships with local public sector clients and demonstrated project experience in the central Florida region.
The firm works on a wide range of transportation and municipal projects such as urban and rural roadway design, intersection design, trail design, and general municipal transportation projects. Requirements:
• BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• 12+ years of experience
• Background in roadway design working with FDOT and/or local municipal clients
• Prior experience working as a client/project manager
