Road Service Technician

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Compensation: $72,000-$81,000/annually + Company Benefits + Company Vehicle

About the Company:
Our client is a supplier of material handling equipment. They have been in the industry for over 60 years and pride themselves on being the largest supplier of material handling solutions in Canada.

They are expanding at a rapid pace and are seeking to add a Road Service Technician to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

• Examine overall operational integrity and condition of the trucks
• Find defective or worn out mechanical or electrical parts and communicate repair solutions to the customer
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and order parts according to technical manuals
• Document and analyze breakdowns based on standard procedures
• Complete service work orders and obtain customer signature
• Return warranty parts with proper documentation
• Provide answers to customers questions relating to products, parts, and safety related issues

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
• Prior automotive mechanic experience is considered to be a strong asset
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems of diesel or electrical powered material handling equipment
• Experience with industrial equipment that involves lifting / rigging, maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Customer service oriented
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills
