Job Description
3.3 Tasks
The Contractor must perform tasks in support of “The Workplace Hazard Assessment and Job Hazard Analysis” by preparing and delivering JHAs for all 17 MSS W Transport Section (W Tn Sect) personnel, including CAF members and PSE staff, which comprise of the following tasks:
3.3.1 Coordinate with WGSO, 17 Wing Mission Support Squadron Wing Supply Services Material Control Officer (MCO) to establish a schedule for JHA interviews. The 17 MSS W Sup Svcs Flt MCO will be the Point of Contact (POC) for organizing and coordinating assessments for federal employees at 17 Mission Support Squadron Wing Supply Services Flight. The 17 MSS W Sup Svcs Flt MCO will provide employee names, contact information, and position information. The number of scheduled assessments may vary depending on external factors (time, employee, and resource availability, etc.). If the Contractor is prevented from completing the required tasks detailed herein, for example, with employees, CAF Members, resources and or equipment, the 17 MSS W Sup Svcs MCO is to be contacted immediately for resolution.
3.3.2 Consult with 17 MSS W Sup Svcs personnel in person to identify their positions and related tasks. The Contractor must ask questions that will yield data to fulfill the JHA requirements. This may include questions about specific position activities, workspace and environment, and equipment use. The Contractor must collect the job data during this task.
3.3.3 Collate all collected information and data and prepare a Job Hazard Analysis table for each position containing at a minimum, the following information:
- Work description / Tasks / Process / Equipment used.
- Sequence of Job tasks / Process / Equipment used.
- Identify hazard type.
- Identify Hazards and potential accidents that can occur because of job tasks, processes and equipment use.
- Identify control measures (refer to SOW paragraph 3.3.8) in place to eliminate or mitigate identified hazards, and
- Using provided matrix, assign a risk level as part of the hazard assessment.
The Contractor may request minor edits/changes to the structure of the JHA table, but the content and table format is to remain the same. Based on Ref C and D, the Contractor is discussing proposed format changes with WGSO and WGSO will affect changes to the JHA table structure template for use by Contractor.
3.3.4 Identify and assess hazards that may occur because of 17 MSS W Sup Svcs personnel’s job activities. The Contractor must classify hazards according to the Occupational Safety and Health Hazard Matrix. The Contractor must assess hazards based on the following Qualitative Assessment Criteria

The Bidder must clearly demonstrate that the proposed resource is accredited/certified by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).
This must be demonstrated by providing copy of certification/accreditation. |
