Title: Financial Analyst, Revenue Cycle

Location: Remote (must be willing to travel to Red Bank NJ 6x per year)

Compensation: $110k to $130k

Overview

Remote role with willingness to travel to the office for a same day meeting only a few times a year! This position can also be in office with a flexible schedule if the person hired prefers more in-office interaction. For this Sr Analyst role, a strong understanding of contracts, proven data analytics skills and the revenue cycle in a hospital, physician or healthcare setting is required. Bachelors degree required. MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle dashboards and reports.
  • Analyze trends in key revenue cycle metrics, claim rejections and denial rates, net collection rate and yield performance.
  • Identify aging trends, posting performance and payer performance patterns.
  • Ability to interact routinely with key stakeholders
  • Conduct analysis on revenue, delivering actionable improvement recommendations.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights for executive management.
  • Extract, validate, and structure data from practice management and billing system.
  • Apply knowledge of database design requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency in alignment with standards.
  • Develop scalable models for forecasting, planning, and performance tracking.
  • Support improvement initiatives around eligibility automation, claim optimization, workflow enhancements, and productivity improvements.
  • Act as a key analytics partner during vendor implementations; own workstreams and guide vendor teams.
  • Perform post-implementation analysis to assess ROI and operational impact.
  • Partner internally and with external vendors to drive performance improvements.
  • Spearhead data-driven discussions that promote accountability while maintaining a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of revenue cycle experience
  • Experience in a physician practice or hospital billing settings preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Domo, Tableau) a plus
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify actionable performance trends
  • Exposure to revenue cycle KPIs and operational workflows a plus
  • Strong communication skills
