About the Role:

The client is seeking highly skilled and motivated Restaurant Accounting Leadership to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record of accounting leadership over 10+ restaurant units and possess advanced knowledge and experience with Restaurant365. This role is perfect for someone with technical proficiency and a passion for using technology to drive process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of month-end close processes for assigned clients.
  • Prepare, review, and present comprehensive financial statements with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Demonstrate hands-on expertise with Restaurant365, optimizing automation and ensuring precise financial reporting.
  • Continuously improve processes and workflows through technology, offering thought leadership in accounting operations.
  • Identify innovative opportunities to leverage technology for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling, ensuring insightful financial performance metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, understanding their needs and providing top-tier service.
  • Work efficiently in a 100% remote setting, with regular collaboration in a virtual team environment.
  • For senior candidates, take on leadership responsibilities such as overseeing a team of Restaurant Account Managers/Controllers, with a focus on strategic direction and team performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in restaurant accounting.
  • Proven leadership experience managing 10+ restaurant units simultaneously.
  • Expertise in full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Restaurant365 (assessment required).
  • Familiarity with restaurant POS systems (Toast preferred).
  • Experience with payroll software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Lookups, Pivot Tables, Sumifs, Index/Match, Indirect, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a client-facing approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work environment and collaborate seamlessly with a virtual team.
