McCall and Lee have been engaged by a community-based Hospital to recruit a Full-Time Registered Respiratory Therapist to join their team. We are seeking a well-skilled, highly productive team player to work with their program.
If you are a new or experienced RRT who is driven to provide top quality services, this position is for you.
Must be a graduate of an AMA Accredited Respiratory Therapy program and credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Certified (CRT) or Registered (RRT) Respiratory Therapist
Must be licensed within the state of Georgia
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
Positional Summary: The Respiratory Therapist is familiar with all types of equipment used in the Cardio-Pulmonary Department; performs approved respiratory Therapy treatments and diagnostic studies, including but not limited to: ABGs, EKGs, Holter Monitors, Non-invasive and Invasive Ventilation Management; is capable of correctly charging and documenting treatment procedures.Job Descriptions/Essential Functions iAccess Cardio-Pulmonary care given; identify problems and/or need for improvement; communicate information to department director, physician or charge nurse as appropriate iAssess patientis needs and health status as required communicate to charge nurse or physician iAssist with Cardio-Pulmonary Quality Assurance activities, as requested i Provides skilled, evidence based care competently under the direction of a physician iEvaluate the effective of problem solving techniques and activities implemented to improve the department iAssists in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs iAdminister prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards iObtain and document allergies, medications, procedures, immunizations, past medical history, family history, social history, chief complaint and vital signs iResponds to and refers incoming telephone inquiries from patients and other parties iProvides education to patients about his/her conditions or medications iDocuments patient care observations and activities according to professional standards and procedures iDemonstrates effective communication skills (verbal, written, and computerized) with the health care team through: documenting, reporting and interacting iAids in identifying methods of improving patient care iDemonstrates professionalism by: articulating and demonstrating professional behavior, accepting responsibility/accountability for actions, adhering to departmental/ hospital policies and procedures iMaintains a clean, well-stocked patient care area, observing asepsis techniques and all other federal mandates, i.e.,OSHA, CLIA, etc
