Provides respiratory therapy services for patients of the hospital as ordered by a physician to include interventional procedures, conducting pulmonary function testing, cardiac stress tests, holter monitoring, ECG, and arterial blood gas analysis, and emergency respiratory support.

Associate degree or higher preferred.
Licensure, Registry, Certification:
Certified as a CRTT or Certified as an RRT

Effective oral and written communication skills.

One (1) years experience as a Certified Cardiopulmonary Technician
Critical Care experience preferred.
1. Performs pulmonary function testing on patients. 2. Administers gas and aerosol therapy and IPPB therapies 3.Performs arterial punctures and analysis of the blood for ABG's. 4. Maintenance and removal of secretions through various methods. 5. Places patents on ventilators and monitors them continuously. 6. Performs routine ECG's and prepares them for physical interpretation. 7. Provides care appropriate for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients served based on demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. 8. Assesses and interprets data on neonate and the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients' status to identify patients' requirements relative to their age specific needs and provides care needed as stipulated in departmental policy. 9. Discusses the condition and treatment of patients with the patient's physician, cardiopulmonary consultant, and cardiopulmonary staff members and recommends changes in cardiopulmonary care when indicated.
