Registered Plan Administrator

The Client

The client is a well-established, top wealth management firm with private High Net Worth and institutional clients, operating out of a downtown Toronto office.

What you will achieve in this role:

The RP Administrator will report into the Director of Accounting and will be responsible for:

  • Review and process internal and external transactions from clients by using appropriate systems and tools in place for registered plan accounts group (e.g. RRSPs, RRIFs, LIFs, TFSAs and non-registered plans)
  • Update portfolio holdings into various systems when security assets are received or delivered
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with clients and internal partners
  • Cross check and verify non-financial transactions prepared by colleagues
  • Analyse and resolve requests, escalating to specialist if needed
  • Generate reports and taxation slips for clients and tax authorities
  • Process journal entries
  • Manage and monitor trust accounts’ cash balance
  • Prepare cash moving between funds & clients
  • Prepare fund expenses, withholding tax payments
  • Adhere to financial deadlines and comply with policies, rules and legislations

What you must bring to this role:

  • University or college degree in Accounting or Administration
  • 2 to 3 years experience as Registered Plan Administrator with registered plan products and accounting knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent skills in Excel, Word
