We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to become an integral part of our hospital’s Emergency Department team. This position requires high proficiency in acute care nursing, rapid assessment, and critical management skills to ensure exceptional patient care during critical instances. You will work alongside our team of expert physicians and medical staff in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary: DOE per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality professional nursing care to patients presenting with a variety of urgent and emergent medical conditions.
- Perform thorough assessments, develop detailed care plans, and implement appropriate medical interventions.
- Collaborate closely with physician staff to ensure comprehensive patient therapy.
- Coordinate and supervise support staff, guiding their work and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and procedures to ensure safety and high-quality patient care.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Current active New York RN license/registration.
- At least one year of experience in a Hospital Emergency Department.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association are required upon hire.
- Obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a high volume, high-acuity emergency department preferred.
- Advanced certification in emergency nursing (CEN) highly desirable.
- Proven ability to function in high stress, dynamic situations with physical and emotional resilience.
- Exceptional communication and patient advocacy skills.
