Salary: $30.00 - $49.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide general nursing care to patients in an acute care hospital setting.
- Utilize AIDET methodology for communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and update electronic medical records in real-time.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, notify providers and supervisory staff of changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to approved nursing techniques.
- Educate patients and families, documenting all instructional activities in patient files.
- Perform regular checks on patients, updating care plans based on assessments.
- Collaborate with other nursing and ancillary staff to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Current RN License in the state of Kansas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- At least six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience in Med Surg or a similar setting.
- Proven ability to document patient care effectively within an electronic medical recording system.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care that aligns with the goals of the healthcare facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly advantageous.
- Previous experience in telemetry and monitoring patient lab test results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in acute care or small hospital settings.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
