Salary: $42.00 - $49.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate patient care.
- Implement clinical and therapeutic interventions according to established protocol for emergency patient care.
- Maintain communication and advocate for patient needs within the healthcare system to assure high-quality care.
- Provide direct nursing care based on the assessments, including administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
- Participate actively in Quality Improvement programs to help enhance the standards of care and services provided.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy during their stay in accordance with institutional standards.
- Monitor and document patient status and treatment progress regularly and effectively for handover and historical records.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas, or eligible for immediate licensure.
- At least 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
- Required certifications in Basic Life Support within 30 days and Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of employment.
- Proven ability to operate under high stress situations typical of emergency rooms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support is an advantage.
- Experience in mentoring or training newly hired staff.
