Salary: $60,320 - $81,120 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound and/or vascular exams across a diverse patient demographic, ensuring comprehensive data collection for accurate diagnosis.
  • Evaluate ultrasound exams for clarity and quality, making necessary adjustments in technique to enhance image results.
  • Maintain effective communication with healthcare team members, including radiologists and other medical professionals, to discuss diagnostic procedures and results.
  • Adhere to departmental protocols and procedures to uphold safety standards and patient confidentiality.
  • Participate in cross-training and other educational initiatives to stay current with evolving technology and methodologies in sonography.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior technicians to foster a conducive learning environment within the department.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • RDM(AB) or RDMS(OB) certifications required or eligibility to obtain them.
  • Proven experience in OB/Gyn, Abdominal specialties.
  • Proficiency in handling and operating sophisticated ultrasound equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively explaining procedures and results to patients and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting highly preferred.
  • Advanced certification or specialization in areas like pediatric or cardiac sonography.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a clinical setting.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Consistent record of engaging in professional development activities, such as workshops or additional coursework.
