Job Description

Regional Vice President – Multifamily Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Vice President (RVP) to lead the operational and financial performance of a dynamic, multi-state multifamily portfolio across GA, NC, TN, and VA, with primary focus in Atlanta and Raleigh/Durham.

This is a newly created, high-visibility executive role reporting directly to the Managing Director. With five current RVPs, this sixth addition reflects portfolio growth, new acquisitions in process, and continued investment in leadership. The right candidate will step into complexity, drive results, and confidently lead through change.

Portfolio Scope

  • 33 properties currently (expanding through active acquisitions)
  • 10,000 units today, scaling to 15,000+ units
  • Mix of owner-managed and third-party assets
  • Diverse portfolio: luxury, value-add, distressed, and active capex communities
  • Direct leadership of:
  • 1 Regional Director (senior layer)
  • 6 Regional Managers
  • Regional Marketing Manager
  • Regional Training Manager
  • Revenue Management Support
  • Additional regional support staff

The Opportunity

The RVP is fully accountable for achieving and exceeding financial targets across the region. This leader will translate corporate strategy into executable regional business plans, drive revenue growth, control expenses, preserve asset value, and elevate resident satisfaction — all while ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable laws.

This role requires a confident, assertive, and analytical executive who thrives in fast-moving environments. Structure and stability are not guaranteed here — adaptability, decisiveness, and the ability to lead through ongoing change are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Regional Directors, Regional Managers, and support teams to drive operational excellence and cultural alignment
  • Own full P&L performance across assigned markets, including budgeting, reforecasting, KPI tracking, and performance optimization
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual portfolio reviews with Senior Leadership and ownership groups
  • Identify risks and opportunities, implement corrective action plans, and drive measurable improvement
  • Oversee revenue management, marketing strategy, maintenance standards, and capital planning
  • Participate in acquisitions and due diligence, including underwriting, business planning, capital recommendations, repositioning strategy, and onboarding
  • Ensure SOP adherence while improving systems and processes to support company growth
  • Maintain deep market intelligence across Atlanta, Raleigh/Durham, and surrounding regions
  • Support new business pursuits, third-party presentations, and ownership communications

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 10 years of multifamily experience
  • At least 5 years at the Regional Manager level or higher
  • Proven oversight of 10,000+ units across multiple markets
  • Deep familiarity with Atlanta and/or Raleigh/Durham markets (local residence strongly preferred)
  • Strong financial acumen with mastery of real estate financial statements and asset performance metrics
  • Experience across diverse asset classes (luxury, value-add, distressed, capex)
  • Assertive leadership style with the confidence to challenge, influence, and implement change
  • Comfortable operating in evolving, high-growth environments
  • Experience with property management and revenue management systems (MRI and LRO preferred)
  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to travel 30–40%

Why This Role?

This is not a maintenance role — it is a growth and transformation leadership opportunity. With active acquisitions, portfolio expansion, and diverse asset types, this RVP will directly shape regional strategy and long-term performance.

If you are a seasoned multifamily executive who thrives in complexity, leads with conviction, and delivers consistent financial results at scale, this is a rare opportunity to step into a visible and impactful role.
