Our client has hired our team at SnapDragon Associates to find them qualified, experienced individuals in the Building Materials Industry to fill the role of a Regional Sales Professional. The territory covers Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Western New York.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Business planning to include: concise mapping and understanding of product utilization throughout customer and end user channels, evaluation of customer characteristics and fit, development of annual business plans, and annual forecasting and budgeting of territory sales
  • Development of a full understanding and basis for evaluating customer operations and product utilization
  • Ability to make product specification and selection recommendations to customers
  • Extensive field work to both understand opportunities for further utilization of targeted products and to develop basis for product adoption at customers
  • Presentation of compelling cases for and features and benefits of products and programs directly to customers
  • Keeping participants within all channels educated and knowledgeable of current product offerings, new product developments and product utilization
  • Participation at customer, dealer and trade show events with the ability to make product presentations
  • Effecting planning and utilization of marketing throughout all channels within the territory
  • Consistent travel based upon effecting business plan and related activities
  • Required field service work
  • Weekly reporting of sales call activities
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree; business and marketing majors preferred
  • Three to ten years in a sales representative role; within industry preferred
  • Requires strong management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to address issue with Management
  • Approach situations maturely and demonstrates a great deal of common sense
  • Ability to have exceptional understanding and technical knowledge of products and customers
  • Quickly identify problems, come up with collaborative solutions and action plan
  • Sound Judgement; analyzed the available information, then judicially weigh the evidence in order to decide on the best course of action
  • Most decisions involve a balance of advantages and disadvantages, and so they should be comfortable with trade-offs
  • Is capable of delegation to produce results through others
  • Seeking someone who is able to look ahead and be a good forecaster and who also considers future opportunities and problems
  • Requires a legal driver’s license with the ability to travel via vehicle or plane from city to city or state to state
