The Segment/Regional Sales Manager (S/RSM) is a key member of the Sales Organization serving as the company’s representative to the customer, and market/product specialist for one of the five key commercial segments. The S/RSM is also the voice of the customer at the mill as well as the company’s eyes and ears in the marketplace. This role requires excellent communication skills to be effective. The S/RSM must be highly effective working at all levels within a customer’s organization, including procurement, production, technology and senior management. In turn the S/RSM must work well internally with all departments and management levels of the organization in order to properly service the customer. This includes Inside Sales, Marketing, Technology, Quality, Production, Accounting, Supply Chain and many others.

Key Accountabilities

· Develop and nurture strong strategic customer relationships with key representatives at targeted accounts.

· Work with Inside Sales to insure customer satisfaction during order-processing and delivery

· Produces proactive action plans that increase sales of products with all strategic regional accounts.

· Develop monthly and yearly sales forecast by product and customer for the respective region.

· Maintain positive contacts with stake holders and resources within the company and all major customers for the purpose of furthering strategic business relationships at multiple levels to ensure achievement of sales objectives.

· Collaborate with Director of Sales to develop and implement segment strategies, as well as customer strategies and action plans within the region to increase sales.

· Communicate with Director of Sales to identify trends and issues pertaining to customer feedback of implemented sales/marketing initiatives.

· Identify and address current and potential customer service issues through the close interaction with the Inside Sales Team.

· Regular customer sales & technical calls (frequency as required)

· Negotiate pricing and sales contracts

· Generate routing call reports/ Market information! Competitor information

· Regularly track and follow up on sales quotes to obtain market feedback

· Maintain segment strategy and regional knowledge

· Cultivate customer and industry relationships
