Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of a global company that specializes in the transport of oversized, complicated and project related cargoes. The company has carved out a niche for itself by offering industrial clients both standard and tailored transport solutions within the renewable energy, construction & mining, maritime, O&G, container and project logistics spaces, just to name a few.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the development and growth of client relationships that deliver positive results for both the client and the organization. Responsible for professionally representing the company always, contacting clients, having a thorough understanding of client needs, obtaining RFQs, and strategically positioning the company’s response to win the business. Challenge is to improve profitability and increase revenue through generating new customers and maintaining existing customers.

Background Required:
  • Sales within Multi-Modal, Freight Forwarder, Third Party & Project Logistics environment (5 years)
  • Customer base in project cargo: construction equipment, mining, oil & gas, plant dismantling, power generation, industrial machinery
  • Multi-modal logistics experience including air, barge, ocean, rail, trucking
  • Deep understanding of Imports / Exports
  • Competitive Rate Structure Knowledge
  • RFQ and RFP Experience
  • Time and territory management
  • Effective selling techniques via phone and electronic communication
  • Developed and executed business plan strategies
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Residence: Houston, TX
