Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Brokerage of an asset-based full service 3PL providing customized solutions in transportation and freight brokerage.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the development of profitable Freight Brokerage business within his or her region. Will be responsible for the closing and development of profitable new business and managing the startup process after the sale. Will also coordinate with Managers, Pricing Analysts, and Operations team to create business solutions and long-term business relationships with perspective new customers. Challenge is to regionally expand account base, supporting profitable increased revenues within the Branch network.

Background Required:
  • Outside sales / Business Development within transportation/freight brokerage (3+ years)
  • Service offering (i.e. Freight Brokerage, TL, 3PL)
  • Regional and National accounts experience
  • Strong Selling and closing capabilities
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Contractual Business Process (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Home Office

  • Education: College Graduate
