Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales for one of the nation's leading flatbed trucking companies with a large and growing fleet of modern, safe, and well-maintained equipment.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and managing current and prospective shippers within a defined geographic region, while focusing on providing the highest levels of customer service and operational profitability.

Background Required:
  • Transportation Sales within the Flatbed, Van, Refer or LTL space (5 yrs.)
  • New territory development
  • Ability to identify profitable business opportunities
  • Time and territory management
  • Travel required up to 50%
  • Effective selling techniques via phone and electronic communication
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Basic understanding of CRM solutions such as SalesForce
  • Location: Home Office
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Strong geographical knowledge (of competition, shippers/receivers, economic trends)
  • Education: College Graduate -Transportation and Logistics
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
  • Function in a fast-paced work environment
  • Plan and organize, attention to detail, problem-solving skills
  • Strong Business Acumen - Effectively manages revenue and cost.
  • Anticipates client and market opportunities and responds appropriately
