Steel Manufacturer is looking for a Regional Sales Manager. The role is a remote position. Although any region will be considered, the preference is for a candidate to be located in the eastern half of the US.

Job Responsibility: Responsible for handling regional sales, marketing, customer relationships, forecasting volumes, trends and market developments. Front line for communication of key issues between customers and company.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers.
• Make telephone calls and in-person visits/presentations to customers.
• Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service departments.
• Prepare written correspondence and weekly/monthly reports.
• Prepare monthly sales bookings forecasts.
• Responsible for communicating price quotes.
• Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Work collaboratively with team members, clients, and suppliers.
• Promote sales within region to existing and potential customers through a relationship-based approach.
• Communicate market and customer information to various to departments within the organization.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 4 years steel sales experience.
• Basic computer skills needed with emphasis on MS Office.
• Proficient with Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication needed.
• Efficient time management and organization skills a must.
• Ability to understand customer needs.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous sales experience with carbon steel plate especially with “value added” grades.

Additional Notes:

• Must be able to wear required safety equipment when necessary.
• Must be able to work between 7a.m and 6p.m.
• Must be willing to travel.
