Our client, a leading National Wholesaler of Commercial, Residential, and Electronic Access Control Door Hardware and Security Products, is looking to add a Regional Sales Manager to join their growing team in the Upper Midwest (KS, MO, ND, SD, NE, IA, & MN).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for growing revenue and profit in assigned geographic territory above market rates
  • Identify, procure and develop new customers for profitable growth
  • Develop an annual sales plan for the assigned territory including sales/marketing actions that will drive competitive share capture and new business
  • Recommend Buying Programs to Customer Program Mgr. based on market pricing and customer potential
  • Build positive relationships between our company and customers
  • Develop strong relationships with vendor sales personnel in assigned territory
  • Utilize the CRM system for improved sales productivity and strong contact management
  • Follow up on quoted jobs in assigned territory
  • Proactive travel planning to maximize customer facetime and to allow flexibility in acting on new opportunities
  • Desire to continue learning and to build upon product/industry knowledge and selling skills
  • Involvement in industry and customer events as appropriate
  • Interdependencies: Inside Sales, Marketing, Quotes, Customer Service, Purchasing

Position Qualifications:

  • 7+ years sales experience, door hardware a plus
  • Ability to travel 50%-75% of the time
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  • Computer skills for analytics and CRM
  • Insurable driving record and reliable transportation
