Northeast Region Sales Manager-Public Safety
Position Overview
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives in support of corporate goals and objectives to include accountability for regional financial performance. Direct management of sales representatives and distribution in the public safety market (Law Enforcement, Fire & Sporting Goods)
Primary Job Functions
- Achieves regionals financial objectives (revenue and expense)
- Executes regional sales plans as directed by manager.
- Maintains and expands customer base by working with independent sales representatives, building rapport with key customers and identifying new customer opportunities.
- Identify new product opportunities and communicates with internal staff.
- Leads and coaches sales representatives to achieve performance expectations.
- Effectively resolves customer complaints and channel conflict.
- Identifies top distributor in the prospects and develops strategic plan to target and convert to our client products.
- Must be a player/coach and must be willing to visit (Sporting Goods dealers, law enforcement agencies/distributors and fire departments/distributors) when needed
Secondary Job Functions
- Executes regional trade show strategy.
- Conducts product training for sales representatives, distributors and end users.
- Prepare regionals sales forecasts, market potential and regional plan as required by Manager.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of successful sales management experience in the public safety market
- 60% travel required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- Effective communication skills (written & oral)
