We are seeking a dedicated Regional Sales Engineer to join our American industrial processing firm, specializing in designing, building, and commissioning bulk-processing systems. Based ideally in Charlotte, NC, or Ft. Mill, SC, this role services the I-77 Corridor, covering territories in South Carolina, Western North Carolina, Western Virginia, Eastern Tennessee, and West Virginia. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and sales skills to foster strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and deliver effective solutions tailor-made to their industrial environments. Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets and broaden our customer base within the designated region.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities through effective lead generation, prospecting, and sales closing activities.
- Forge and cultivate lasting relationships with customers by partnering closely and understanding their specific operational needs.
- Deliver technical support and expertise to customers, including product presentations, demonstrations, and detailed technical consultations.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and product development teams to ensure customer requirements and project specifications are precisely met.
- Prepare comprehensive sales presentations, tailored proposals, and contracts that convincingly demonstrate the value proposition of our offerings to potential customers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market shifts, and competitor actions to strategically navigate the market environment.
- Participate actively in trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events, securing new business leads and relationships.
- Meticulously update our CRM system with key account information, sales progression notes, and pipeline forecasts.
- Regularly report sales activities, market insights, and strategic advice to the Director of Sales & Marketing and relevant stakeholders.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience in related fields.
- Proven experience in pneumatic conveying and dust collection systems.
- Solid background in sales with a focus on technical consultative and in-plant experience.
- Proficient computer skills, including CRMs (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) and basic AutoCAD knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend customer needs and engineer solutions that align with their operational demands.
- Availability to travel approximately 12 days per month, predominantly involving overnight stays.

- Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience managing large territories and a significant client portfolio.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of leading complex sales processes that involve multiple stakeholders.

- Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills, with a clear ability to close deals effectively and maintain profitable margins.
