Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of an asset-based logistics provider in business for over 30 years.
The Regional Sales Director is responsible for the development of profitable Transportation Brokerage business – closing new business. Will be responsible for the closing and development of profitable new business and managing the startup process after the sale. Will also coordinate with Vice President, Branch Manager, Pricing Analysts, and the Operations team to create business solutions and long-term business relationships with perspective new customers. Will coordinate complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. This role will include inside and outside selling. Challenge is to expand account base, increase revenues, and improve profitability.

Background Required:
  • Inside and Outside Business Development within Transportation Brokerage (5+ years)
  • Mode of transportation (i.e. Truckload – dry and reefer)
  • Pricing and margin integrity
  • Negotiations
  • Customer development, profitability, & market penetration
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Residence: Atlanta, GA
