Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Co-owners of a privately owned, asset-based regional transportation carrier who specialize in dry van and reefer freight services.
The Regional Sales Director is responsible for the development of profitable Freight Brokerage business within his or her region. Will be responsible for the closing and development of profitable new business and coordinating with Account Management team to implement the customer’s solution and onboarding. Will also coordinate with Managers, Pricing Analysts, and Operations team to create business solutions and long-term business relationships with perspective new customers. Challenge is to regionally expand account base, supporting profitable increased revenues within the Branch network.

Background Required:
  • Outside sales / Business Development within transportation/freight brokerage (7+ years)
  • Service offering (i.e. TL, Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed)
  • Regional and National accounts experience
  • Strong Selling and closing capabilities
  • Experience presenting to C-level executives
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Contractual Business Process (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: USA (OH, TX, FL, TN)

  • Transportation Network understanding
  • Education: College Graduate
