The Opportunity

We are partnering with a real estate organization to identify a Regional Property Manager who will serve as a key leader within the property management function. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on operational leadership, supporting on-site teams while driving financial performance, compliance, and resident satisfaction across a regional portfolio.


Role Overview

The Regional Property Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of multifamily or mixed-use properties within a defined region. This individual will ensure consistent operational execution, strong financial results, and regulatory compliance, while supporting and developing on-site teams and contributing to the long-term success of the broader organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, hire, and support on-site property management teams across multiple communities

  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions in accordance with company policies

  • Oversee day-to-day property operations including leasing, maintenance, compliance, and resident relations

  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, curb appeal, and operational standards

  • Partner on marketing and leasing strategies to optimize occupancy and revenue

  • Monitor financial performance including budgets, rent collections, and expenses

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements

  • Ensure accurate reporting through property management systems and software

  • Maintain compliance with fair housing laws, safety regulations, and tenant-landlord requirements

  • Build strong relationships with residents, internal teams, and ownership or leadership stakeholders


Experience & Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven experience managing multiple residential or mixed-use properties in a regional or multi-site capacity

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities

  • Financial management experience including budgeting, reporting, and cost analysis

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software platforms

  • Solid knowledge of housing laws, industry standards, and property operations best practices

Required:

  • 5–10 years of progressive property management experience

  • CAM certification or equivalent (or ability to obtain)

  • Demonstrated experience working with affordable housing programs, including LIHTC
