Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing of a premier transportation organization that specializes in highway, maritime, and logistics services.
The Regional Office Sales Manager is Directly responsible for providing leadership to the regional sales office. Responsible for the strategic planning, organizing, leading, and controlling of all sales and marketing functions. Oversee the management of new and current customer accounts. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the sales office by guiding quality, efficiency, and productivity improvement efforts, including P&L responsibilities. Responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive growth plan of the non-asset brokerage business. Additional responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, booking freight, quoting, sales program management, and marketing and promotion initiatives. Will work in coordination with other company resources, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the business unit, and establish management processes. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate, and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Freight Brokerage Sales and Operations (4+ years)
  • Sales Management (Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor, Team Building) (2+ years)
  • Mode of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, LTL, Specialized Intermodal)
  • Strong Selling and Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Budget and P&L responsibility
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Sioux Falls, SD (relocation package)
