Regional Manager


Salary Range:$65,000.00 - $80,000.00

Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Brokerage and primarily responsible for securing new pallet vendors to support the national brokerage network and for providing sourcing leadership and strategy for their assigned geographic market. This position will develop suppliers who have the ability to grow with the organization. The RMM must be able to directly sell and promote all products within the portfolio by providing unique solutions to address improved profitability and retention. In addition, the RMM will collaborate with other members of the Brokerage Team, National Sales and the Total Pallet Management organization to ensure effective delivery for the overall goals and objectives of the Company. Leads a designated sales and marketing plan for assigned territory executing against performance objectives, key financial targets, and milestones for short and long-term objectives. Mentor, Coach, Manage a team of Pallet Logistics Coordinators in assigned territory. Increase margins through implementation of best purchasing practices. Responsible for monitoring and evaluation of sourcing analytics. Develop cohesive sourcing strategies with partner facilities and consumable vendors. Work with sales management to create and implement specific growth strategies - contributing to sales initiatives for each region and all products. Negotiate supply agreements and rebate programs. Assist in resolution of product / service / accounts payable problems.

Background Required:
  • Freight Brokerage or Logistics Sales and Operations experience (3+ years)
  • Management (Train, Coach, Mentor, Team Building)
  • Strong Selling Skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Schaumburg, IL
  • Travel: In geographic area assigned up to 20%
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Experience in pallets, recycling and or waste management industries preferred.
  • Education: College Graduate
