Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO for a leading logistics provider serving the evolving needs of businesses in today’s same-day delivery world. Our client manages daily routed and on-demand delivery services across the country, with a dedicated team of professionals handling jobs of all shapes, sizes, timeframes, and locations. Through deep expertise in the automotive, ecommerce and medical industries, they drive visibility, flexibility, and predictability for their clients across the delivery spectrum from first call to the final mile and everywhere in between.
The Regional Director is responsible for the management and coordination to ensure all company goals are being met for the operation and customers within the Northeast region. The position is responsible to ensure the operations team members in the region meet the customer service levels while exceeding financial goals. They will develop strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results and providing high service levels. Communicate and develop a robust service and customer management effort to ensure that customers are completely satisfied with our service and no customer terminates services due to poor service delivery. Develop an annual budget and execute against revenue, gross profit, and field direct profit goals through effective financial management of operations. Manage operations team to meet company KPI’s, standards and operational goals via appropriate allocation of workload and effective resource management. Train and develop managers to deliver the highest customer experience. Set work goals, develop organizational capability and model how to work together. Ensure team members are interacting effectively with other areas of the business including, dispatchers and Independent Contractors to ensure quality of service. Develop subordinates through training and experiential learning to become leaders in the organization. Implement and monitor effective management tools allowing subordinates to work efficiently. Manage and ensure all safety compliance requirements are being implemented. Develop creative strategies of collecting feedback from staff and communicate an appropriate response at a high level.

Background Required:
  • Courier Transportation Operations (10 yrs)
  • Manage independent contractor model
  • P&L Management ($40 million)
  • Create, set, exceed customer specific KPIs
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Products and database management
  • Education: High School Degree
  • Residence: Work Remote, but must live in PA, NJ, or NY State
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Account management with courier
  • Six Sigma Yellow belt or above certification
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
