Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to both the General Manager and Vice President of Sales (North America) of a leading last mile provider. Has a strong presence in both the United States and Canada. Use industry experience and technology to seamlessly connect a network of local delivery providers in local markets. Believes in one solution fits all client needs. Customizes services and technology to meet their unique requirements. Services include point to point hot shot, same day and next day delivery, two-man delivery, branch & store replenishment, asset recover & returns, home delivery, polled distribution, reverse logistics, cross dock, storefront delivery, dedicated routes, and outsourced network management.
The Regional Business Development Executive is responsible for driving new business in courier operations based on the west coast. Services include the next day, same day, and immediate delivery service. This person’s top focus will be to drive in new business. They will do this with great prospecting, gaining access to decision makers, solve problems, and form long term partnerships. They will design business plans, develop key target verticals, perform customer business reviews, create customized solutions, develop request for quote strategies to win business, and handle customer onboarding. They will focus on gaining new clients, growing that business, and retaining it. They must be success driven, overachiever, competitive, tenacious, with a positive mindset. Their goal is to grow revenue, optimize costs, and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Business to business transportation sales (2 yrs)
  • Repeatable sales process management (prospect, contact, solution design, close, implementation)
  • Develop business plans, SOPs, KPIs and exceed expectations.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts
  • Sales pipeline management
  • Meet and exceed quota (1st year $1-2 million)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite and CRM Tools
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Residence: Los Angeles, CA

  • Large account management, courier, distribution, and outsourcing transportation sales
