Regional Director - Agronomy

This role will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing sales operations, establishing goals, and driving market share growth within your assigned region.
  • Managing profitability through inventory reviews, expense management, and asset oversight.
  • Leading and developing a regional sales team and location managers, ensuring high performance and accountability.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive Regional Business Plan aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, corporate policies, and industry standards.
  • Coordinating special projects and tailored training programs to address sellers’ needs.
  • Monitoring equipment needs, product inventory (fertilizers and chemicals), and maintenance schedules to support operational efficiency.

Expectations will include:

  • Maintaining exceptional customer service standards while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Providing informed staffing recommendations and approvals to build a strong, capable team.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to develop strategic plans that enhance competitive positioning.
  • Proactively addressing challenges, taking corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Staying current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements to drive innovation and compliance.
  • Building and nurturing effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of related leadership experience in agronomy, agriculture, or a comparable field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Leadership skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive operational excellence.
  • Analytical mindset: Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, analyze margins, and ensure profitability.
  • Communication: Clear, professional communication with a collaborative approach to leadership.
  • Work ethic: Self-motivated with a high level of responsibility, flexibility, and integrity-especially during peak demand seasons.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Compensation: Will depend on experience, but over $100K plus incentive plan.
