Key Responsibilities
Operation: Safely operate manual and automatic saws to cut materials to specified lengths and shapes.
Setup: Install appropriate saw blades, attachments, and guides for each job.
Measurement: Use measuring tools like tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to verify cut dimensions against job orders and blueprints.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on saws, replacing worn blades or other parts, and clean work areas.
Quality Control: Examine finished workpieces for defects and ensure they conform to specifications.
Documentation: Keep records of daily production.
Safety: Follow all safety rules and regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper lifting techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing orders.
