Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP of Operations of an Ohio flatbed trucking company dedicated to serving the transportation and logistics needs of companies across the Eastern United States. With over $ 50 million in revenue, the company has over 200 employees & 80 owner-operators providing the very best specialized trucking services available in the region.
The Recruiting Manager oversees and leads all functions of driver recruiting. Is a player-coach managing and supervising a recruiting team consisting of 2 associates to recruit CDL Class A drivers for our local and remote terminal locations, as well as inexperienced candidates for our in house CDL truck driver training program. Delegate tasks and lead hiring initiatives while seamlessly provide support when there are gaps. Collects department data to supplement weekly performance reports and daily hiring statuses. Directs full life cycle recruitment process. Sources candidates using a variety of methods to build a robust candidate pipeline through any means necessary such as cold calling, social media, job boards, and job fairs. Screens candidates by reviewing resumes and phone screenings. Takes ownership of candidate experience. Optimizes tools and resources. Manages the overall Interview, selection and closing process. Ensures all screening, hiring and selection Is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations. Stays up to date of recruiting trends and best practices. Prioritizes tasks to make most efficient use of time. Communicates realistic timelines with supervisor. Assists in continuously improving accounting processes, procedures, and policies. Is an ambassador of the corporate brand.

Background Required:
  • CDL-A Driver Recruiting – Flatbed / Heavy Haul (2 Years)
  • Coached and mentored driver recruiters
  • Driver sourcing, interviewing, hiring, & on-boarding
  • Driver retention strategies
  • Social media implementation & outreach
  • Management of KPI’s
  • Applicant tracking systems: (i.e., SmartRecruiters, ADP, TenStreet, HireRight, TMW, McLeod)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Residence: Cleveland, OH region
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • DOT and FMCSA driver regulation
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
