Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP Marketing & Communications for an asset-based logistics organization focused on courier final mile, ground delivery, expedited freight, and over the road transportation. Their focus is helping companies accelerate e-commerce delivery along with freight transportation. With $ 50 million in revenue, the company has 200 trucks (80 class 8, 120 straight trucks), 360 drivers and 20 trailers operating from 15 locations in WA, ID, UT, CA, AZ, NV, and TX.

The Recruiting Manager oversees and leads all functions of driver recruiting. Is a player-coach managing and supervising a recruiting team consisting of 3 associates to recruit 8 CDL Class A drivers per week. Delegate tasks and lead hiring initiatives while seamlessly provide support when there are gaps. Collects department data to supplement weekly performance reports and daily hiring statuses. Directs full life cycle recruitment process. Collaborates with HR Manager on creation of job descriptions, then posts and manages job ads. Sources candidates using a variety of methods to build a robust candidate pipeline through any means necessary such as cold calling, social media, job boards, and job fairs. Screens candidates by reviewing resumes and phone screenings. Takes ownership of candidate experience. Optimizes tools and resources. Works with HR Manager to streamline onboarding process. Manages the overall Interview, selection and closing process. Ensures all screening, hiring and selection Is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations. Stays up to date of recruiting trends and best practices. Prioritizes tasks to make most efficient use of time. Communicates realistic timelines with supervisor. Assists in continuously improving accounting processes, procedures, and policies. Is an ambassador of the corporate brand.

  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Residence: Kirkland, WA (relocation assistance – Hybrid Tue-Wed-Thurs in Office, Mon & Fri home)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • DOT and FMCSA driver regulation
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
