POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a high-level, strategic leadership role for an energetic, results-driven Recruiting Manager to lead the San Francisco office of a national real estate organization. The ideal candidate is an industry outsider with a passion for recruiting and developing people, and a strong interest in the local San Francisco community. A background in real estate is not required. Prefer candidates from other industries that are interested in learning the real estate market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruiting and leadership: Build and lead the San Francisco office from the ground up, starting with two initial direct reports. Your primary function will be recruiting, coaching, training, and developing a high-growth, optimistic team.
  • Office culture: Foster a positive and collaborative office culture. You will be expected to be in the office during core hours to run meetings and build team spirit.
  • Strategic growth: Develop and execute a growth plan for the office, with the ability to hire additional staff as needed.
  • Community engagement: Connect with the local community, its neighborhoods, and its culture.
  • Company collaboration: Participate in regional and national "masterminds" to share ideas and best practices with other leaders.

  • Residence: Must already be living in San Francisco to understand the different neighborhoods, vibe and culture.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • First-year compensation: Approximately $225,000–$250,000 OTE (On-Target Earnings), with a $150,000 base salary.
  • Second-year compensation: Projected $250,000–$300,000+ OTE, with significant upside potential from bonuses.
  • Bonus program: An exciting bonus structure, including a bonus based on profitability.
  • Profit sharing: Unique company-wide profit-sharing model that incentivizes collaboration and mutual support.
  • Professional development:
    • Executive coaching worth approximately $18,000 annually.
    • At least two conventions per year with all travel expenses covered.
  • Reimbursements: Small monthly reimbursements for phone and parking.
  • Real estate license: Company will cover the cost of a real estate license if you choose to obtain one, opening up an even more lucrative compensation plan based on recruitment and team growth.

REPORTING STRUCTURE & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Reports to: The President of the company, who is described as collaborative, supportive, and focused on both people and results.
  • Work schedule: Standard hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a strong expectation of in-office presence.
  • Work location: The San Francisco office, with some time spent in the field or at events.
