Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.

Position Overview

First point of contact for all telephone and face-to-face enquiries for visiting internal and external clients. Provides a high level of reception support ensuring quality service and professionalism at every customer interaction

What you will achieve in this role:

  • Handle basic Customer inquiries
  • Answer general questions regarding bank locations, hours, products and services from Customers and other Bank personnel, or refer them to the appropriate department where they will obtain a timely and accurate answer
  • Screen calls not immediately identifiable by questioning callers regarding the service, department, or individual involved
  • Ensure Customer issues are handled appropriately, escalating issues when necessary
  • May keep an up-to-date directory of telephone numbers throughout the bank
  • Relay incoming and outgoing calls
  • May be asked to perform the following: Sort, stamp, and distribute mail, maintain records and files, send, receive and distribute faxes, arrange meetings and appointments, file and photocopy as needed, type memos and assist with mailings

What you will bring to this role:

  • Previous experience as an Receptionist
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Basic)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with a team and work autonomously
