Real Estate Clerk
$50,000-$60,000
Responsibilities include:
- Managing commercial real estate and financing files from beginning to end
- Completing and interpreting title searches
- Organizing and tracking flow of work
- Preparing legal documentation and handling all aspects of real estate and financing transactions
- Managing team members’ calendars and schedules
- Maintaining regular contact with clients, real estate agents, financial organizations, and other counsel, in a professional manner
- Maintaining a system for follow-ups on outstanding matters and initiating follow-up, as required
- Maintaining client files and records
- Preparing client invoices and final reports
- Performing miscellaneous clerical and administrative duties, as required
- Assisting in other areas, as required
Qualifications:
- College Diploma as a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant (or equivalent)
- A minimum of two years of experience in commercial real estate law and financing (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Ability to handle fast paced and deadline-driven work
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and ability to adapt quickly
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Experience using Unity or Lawyer Done Deal and Teraview software
- Experience using Clio (asset)
- Bilingualism is an asset
