Our client, a healthcare facility located about 40 mins from Charlotte, has a need for a Rad/CT Tech to join their team. Candidates MUST have CT experience and be CT registered or eligible.

Up to $15k sign on and $5k relo bonuses offered!

Shift Available:

Thurs, Fri, Sat 9p-9a

  • Must produce high quality images, assist Radiologist in procedures, perform all duties as a Radiologic Technologist and CT Technologist.
  • Operates imaging equipment to make clinical diagnostic images as directed by Radiologists.
  • Performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices under the direction of the Radiology Manager and Radiologists.
  • Obtains and examines the order to include patient name, date of birth, requested procedure, clinical information (reason for exam), requesting physician’s signature, date and time of order, and any other special notes or comments.
  • Receives patient in a pleasant and efficient manner and thoroughly explains the procedure to be performed to facilitate cooperation and alleviate patient anxiety, including addressing patient’s concern of radiation exposure.
  • Practices patient safety by performing hand washing or using hand sanitizer before beginning the procedure. Explains to the patient that they are washing their hands for the patient’s safety. Wears appropriate PPE.
  • Demonstrates an awareness of radiation safety procedures for self and others. Reviews Radiation Protection Plan Policy annually with documentation of signature and date.
  • Documents all fluoroscopy times in EMR and PACS.
  • Documents radiation dosage for CT procedures.
  • Utilizes all radiographic equipment to perform x-rays including but not limited to surgical and portable equipment, and operates CT scanner proficiently and competently.
  • As needed, performs general office duties answering phone, checking in patients, handling call reports and Emergency Room physician disagrees, burning CD’s, etc. Functions as a department receptionist as requested, assist with patient phone calls to answer technical questions.
  • Restocks and cleans rooms daily.
  • When requested, is willing to adjust personal schedule to complete workload; make certain that all ordered procedures will be completed even if it involves staying past one’s shift.
  • Begins and ends study in the EHR and makes sure images are available for Radiologist to dictate.
  • Performs Quality Metrics Activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be registered by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Radiography and CT (or must be CT Registry eligible). Must be certified in BLS (Basic Life Support).
