Job Description

Radiology Technologist Where Your Work Actually Matters

IPERS Covered Employer

This isn’t a high-volume, assembly-line imaging department.
This is a Critical Access Hospital in rural Iowa, where every scan has a name, a story, and a real impact on a tight-knit community.

If you’re a Radiology Technologist (also known as a Radiologic Technologist or Rad Tech) who wants to slow down just enough to do things right—without losing your clinical edge—this is worth a look.

The Role

This is a role for a Radiology Technologist who wants to do more than just push buttons.

In a CAH setting, you’re a true clinical partner—working across modalities and directly with providers to help drive fast, accurate patient care. Whether your background is as a Radiographer or X-Ray Technologist, you’ll find the variety and autonomy here refreshing.

Your day might include:

  • Performing X-ray and general diagnostic imaging (additional modalities a plus)
  • Working side-by-side with providers for real-time clinical decisions
  • Supporting ER, inpatient, and outpatient imaging needs
  • Taking ownership of quality, safety, and patient experience

You won’t be buried in layers of bureaucracy.
You’ll be trusted as a Radiology Technologist.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Autonomy: You’re not one of many—you’re essential
  • Variety: No two days look the same in a CAH environment
  • Connection: You’ll actually know your patients and your team
  • Pace: Busy enough to stay sharp, balanced enough to breathe

What You Bring

  • ARRT certification (or eligible)
  • Strong fundamentals in radiologic imaging
  • A flexible, team-first mindset
  • Comfort working in a setting where you may wear multiple hats as a Radiology Technologist

What You Get

  • Competitive compensation
  • Full benefits package
  • Relocation assistance (if needed)
  • A workplace where people still look out for each other

Who This Is For

  • Techs burned out from high-volume hospital systems
  • Those who want more responsibility—not less
  • Clinicians who value community, autonomy, and purpose

A Different Kind of Career Move

Rural healthcare isn’t for everyone—but for the right Radiology Technologist, it’s everything.

If you’re ready to step into a Radiology Technologist role where your work is seen, valued, and felt every day, let’s talk.
