Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales for a regional transportation provider.

The RVP Sales is a responsible developing and growing Dedicated, OTR, Intermodal and Drayage truckload service offerings. Enterprise sell focused on Dedicated, Logistics and OTR. Will be assigned a pricing analyst who will price deals. Manages a lead prospecting pipeline and mining accurate information about prospects and their companies. Closing business is the primary responsibility of this position, which also includes prospecting for customers using business directories, internal leads, and leads from existing customers along with maintaining assigned house accounts. Monitors market and industry conditions as well as competitors services and prices. Negotiates and quotes rates with customers and discusses traffic lanes, including preparation of RFP’s, bids, and sales/capabilities presentations. Maintains an effective territory plan to include cold calls and in-person visits to maximize and leverage the market. Conducts quarterly business reviews with customers discussing KPIs and service. Agility to adjust sales scripts, as needed, to better target the needs and interests of specific customers is a must. Works closely and collaboratively with other members of the sales team to ensure overall company success and will participate in company meetings and marketing events. Requires up to 50 % travel.

  • Residence: Dallas, TX
