The RN First Assist assists the Attending Surgeon, Surgical Resident, and/or Physician's Assistant in performing a variety of surgical operations and procedures. The RNFA assists attending surgeon, surgical resident and/or physician's assistant during surgical procedures including retraction, hemostasis, suctioning, suturing, suture organization, bone graft harvests, wound management and other assistance as necessary. Assists in opening and closing the patient's spine. Preps, positions, catherizes, and drapes patients and assists in exposing and suturing wounds. The RNFA assists in management of patients during emergency situations.

Qualifications:

·        RN in GA

·        Nationally certified as an RNFA

·        BLS, ACLS
