Job Description

Flybridge Staffing is currently searching for an RN Staffing Manager for one of our clients in South Florida. This is a direct hire/permanent position with competitive benefits (401k, health, vision, dental, life) in a well-established organization. You will be responsible for supporting anesthesia for 4 hospitals and 1 surgery center in Broward County (Time will be spent at each location depending on current staffing needs). This role will be supporting the current operations Director and will be next in line for this role in the future.

Responsibilities/Requirements

  • RN Staffing manager will be responsible for maintaining coverage and coordinating all physician/provider schedules for a multi-location hospital-based anesthesia practice.
  • The Staffing Manager will troubleshoot provider scheduling issues on a day-to-day basis and coordinate between practice and hospital personnel to optimize the supply and demand of resources.
  • The Staffing Manager will be fully knowledgeable of all local operational issues with providers and their complex scheduling needs.
  • These include evening and weekend coverage, callouts, hospital meeting schedules, routine staff changes, etc.
  • The Staffing Manager will build and adjust schedule templates within the formal time and attendance systems utilized by the practice.
  • This role is required to provide superior personalized service to our local medical directors, providers, and the practice management team regarding all scheduling matters.

Job Functions:

  • Ensure excellence in anesthesia team satisfaction
  • Monitor the anesthesia team's schedule
  • Responsible for schedules and templates in our formal time and attendance system
  • Assist in the preparation of paperwork and contracts for new hires, manage the on-boarding process with HR
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings, communicate closely with senior executives and management team for the practice regarding emergent staffing issues, and handle matters that can sometimes arise outside of normal business hours
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (preferably in healthcare administration) or comparable work experience and/or Nursing or other clinical degrees.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare experience working in an active hospital Operating Room setting – Required
  • Experience with managing OR schedules preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
