We’re seeking a transformational, relationship-driven RN Manager, Emergency Department (ED) to lead a high-volume, high-performing 41 bed Emergency Department at a non-profit Magnet-recognized hospital that has rapidly advanced from underperforming to setting the bar for clinical excellence and patient flow. What You’ll Lead:
You’ll oversee a team of 105+ FTEs across a 40 bed ED, including a team of Assistant Nurse Managers, Charge RNs, Educators and support staff, in an ED that’s undergone a major performance turnaround. Daily volume now exceeds 200 patients, with peak days reaching 270+. The department has sustained <1% LWOBS since late 2024 — a significant achievement against the national benchmark of <3%.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead day-to-day ED operations, clinical outcomes, and staff performance
- Mentor Assistant Nurse Managers and Charge RNs while fostering accountability and professional growth
- Oversee staffing models, budgeting, scheduling, and department metrics
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across throughput, quality, and engagement
- Represent the ED in hospital-wide forums and strategic discussions
- Be a visible, accessible, and trusted leader who guides through both coaching and action

- Relocation + Bonus Package: Up to $165K base salary, $10K relocation, and annual performance-based incentive (up to 5% of base salary)
Qualifications:
- Education: BSN required; Master’s strongly preferred (MSN, MHA, or related)
- Experience:
- 5+ years of professional nursing in acute care
- 2+ years in ED leadership
- Licensure: Active RN license or compact state eligibility
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and leadership certifications (NE-BC, NEA-BC, CNML, or CENP) preferred
Schedule & Structure:
- Full time, Days - Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (with flexibility based on team needs)
- 24/7 accountability, with shared weekend coverage rotation
- No administrative on-call
