About the Hospital and Department:

  • HOSPITAL: 200+ bed, not for profit hospital that has served its community for over 60 years
  • Baby Friendly Designated
  • Performs over 2000 annual deliveries
  • The Director will lead a team of ~40 FTE's and will reports to the AVP of Nursing
  • The Director will receive a high level of autonomy and be well supported by an Assistant Manager, team of experienced Charge RN's and an Educator

About the RN Director, Women and Infants Services Position:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the day to day operations of a growing Labor and Delivery Department that performs over 2000 annual deliveries. We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN leader with a strong level of clinical labor and delivery knowledge who can promote an atmosphere of trust and safety, manage the annual budget, utilize evidence based practice, develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and physicians, and identify best practices that ensure the highest quality of care is consistently provided to the community's newest moms and babies.

Qualifications & Requirements for RN Director, Women and Infants Services

  • BSN required (Master's preferred)
  • RN Active License
  • Must have at least five (5) years of general Labor and Delivery clinical nursing experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of progressive nursing leadership experience
  • OB certification required
  • INSPIRATIONAL and COLLABORATIVE leadership style
  • Able to foster positive relationships across all levels
