Our client is a 250 bed non-profit academic teaching hospital in Atlanta.  They are the only 5 time magnet community hospital in the world, and focus on bringing the science side and human side together to change the face of health care.  They are one of the leading academic medical systems in GA, looking for a CVICU Nurse to join their rock star team and hospital.

The CVICU Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Cardiovascular ICU RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The CVICU RN also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in CVICU. The Cardiovascular ICU Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her patients in the area. The Cardiovascular Critical Care Nurse communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The CVICU Nurse is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications:

·        BSN required

·        Minimum of 2 year experience in an acute care Surgical, Medical or Neuro ICU setting

·        RN License in the State of GA

·        BLS, ACLS, certifications
