About Our Client

Our client is a well-established healthcare and residential care organization committed to providing exceptional support and services to its residents and community members. They are currently seeking a professional and detail-oriented Receptionist to provide front desk and administrative support during a temporary coverage period.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who enjoys working in a professional healthcare environment. Training will be provided, and there may be future opportunities available for candidates who perform well during the assignment.

  • Location: Vancouver, BC
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for two consecutive weeks)
  • Work Arrangement: Fully in-office (5 days per week)
  • Training Date: June 12th, 2026
  • Pay Rate: $20 to $22 an hour
  • Assignment Duration: Approximately 2 to 3 Weeks

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Greet visitors, residents, family members, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls and inquiries
  • Receive, record, and distribute messages accurately and promptly
  • Coordinate resident appointments and arrange transportation when required
  • Maintain office and departmental supply inventories and place orders as needed
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding inventory, equipment, and supply requirements
  • Assist with scheduling interviews and appointments
  • Prepare administrative documents, correspondence, hiring packages, and orientation materials
  • Perform data entry, filing, document preparation, and general clerical duties
  • Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism
  • Support the administrative team with additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, Front Desk, Unit Clerk, or Office Support role
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat/PDF
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing tasks
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience within healthcare, long-term care, medical offices, or similar environments is considered an asset
