R&D Manager

Job Title: R&D Manager - Automotive Coatings & Applications (Design & Customer Support)
Location: Jiangsu region, China
Travel: Approx. 1 week per month across China (customer sites)

Own R&D delivery for key automotive OEM programmes in China
This is a high-impact leadership role with a global automotive materials manufacturer, where you will lead applied development, support major OEM customers, and play a hands-on role in formulation and product performance.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading a specialist R&D team focused on coatings formulation and performance
• Driving new product development and reformulation projects
• Acting as the technical interface for key automotive OEMs and Tier 1s
• Supporting trials, troubleshooting, and on-site investigations

What we’re looking for:

• Formulation experience in coatings, adhesives, sealants or similar materials
• Background supporting OEM or Tier 1 environments
• Proven leadership within R&D or lab teams
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills
