Our client needs a Quality Lead who will supervise, assign, instruct, support and coordinate various quality control activities to include auditing, inspection, and production part validation testing. Record, compile, chart and summarize inspection data for analysis. Train personnel to quality systems, process and standards. Support development and implementation of quality systems. Assure quality system compliance and personnel accountability.
Manage and supervise daily quality activities in injection molding manufacturing environment.
Ensure compliance of the Quality Management System.
Review quality procedures, documents and records for completeness and accuracy. Ensure containment, investigate root cause anc coordinate corrective action of quality non-conformances.
Support Supplier Quality Assurance process and conformance. Interacts with suppliers pertaining to quality issues.
Inspect, test, and measure products, components and materials using analytical equipment and gages.
Develop procedures to standardize the methods of inspection.
Assist in the improvement and maintenance of the quality system.
Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Record, compile and report inspection, measurement, and test data in technical reports and charts format.
Perform system, process and product audits.
Provide training on quality procedures and techniques.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Issue internal and supplier 8-Steps Corrective Actions; follow through to closure.
Supervises and directs daily activities of assigned personnel within Quality Department.
Coach, train, and evaluate performance of assigned personnel across all shifts.
Manage employee records to include time records.
Minimum of 2 year degree in Engineering, Materials or Technical field. 5 years experience in Quality or Supervisory role with in an injection molding environment.
Auditing experience required.
Proven leadership skills and ability to influence others.
Ability to read blueprints, use gages and calipers, and calibrate gages and calipers and interpret technical data.
Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of SPC.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements preferred.
