Our client in Guelph is looking for a Quality Manager with a background in fabrication to join their growing team

This quality manager role focuses on streamlining processes, ensuring product quality, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include overseeing the engineering department, managing project timelines with a focus on quality control, collaborating with various teams to improve manufacturing processes, and managing engineering documentation. The role also involves supporting continuous improvement initiatives, addressing quality issues, and working with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements and manage deviations

What you need to bring to the table:

• Post-secondary education in an Engineering or Technologist related field OR 3-5 years of proven experience in Quality Management, QA/QC, or similar roles
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant manufacturing/fabrication experience including familiarity with manufacturing processes (welding, sawing, assembly, machine operation)
• Strong analytical skills to assess data and identify trends
• Welding experience and preferably CWB/AWS certifications

Assets they would like to see:

• Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software; ability to create, edit and manipulate 2D & 3D models/drawings
• Familiar with manufacturing ERP systems
• Plasma/Laser nesting experience
• Knowledge of industry-standard quality control practices and methodologies
• Previous experience working with customers to trouble shoot concerns
