Quality Manager
Position: Quality Manager
Job Summary:
The Quality Manager will plan, organize and control Company standards to ensure that every product meets company and customer expectations. Position will be responsible for overall quality systems in the facility, QA/QC training, auditing internal/external processes and communications while supporting the goals and objectives of this company.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Establish, implement and maintain all aspects of an integrated management system.
- Promote continuous improvement by optimizing processes, teams and systems collaboration across all levels of the organization.
- Ensure cross-functional coordination to meet objectives.
- Conduct audits and implement procedures to comply with internal quality standards.
- Provide training for all employees regarding quality initiatives/programs.
- Complete training required for a lead auditor under an accredited program.
- Develop and train an internal team of auditors.
- Lead Quarterly and Annual Management review meetings.
- Investigate customer/facility/process nonconformance’s, initiate corrective and preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Follow up and monitor to ensure appropriate corrective measures are followed.
- Oversee the York FSMA plan.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable regulatory requirements, including FDA, TTB and state regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or University in a related scientific or technical field preferred.
- Experience with implementing effective QA/QC programs.
- Experience with ISO quality standards.
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
- Proficient in MS Office products including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Must have the ability to work efficiently with Company systems and programs.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- The employee must occasionally lift and/move up to 60 lbs.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near mechanical parts.
- The employee may be exposed to dusty conditions.
- The employee is regularly exposed to high noise environments.
- The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather in all conditions.
- The employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process.
